Broken Ballerina is an electronic/ambient/minimal tech musical project from Melbourne multi-instrumentalist Jay Westfold.
Sometimes the world cab be a noisy place, Broken Ballerina is weaving an auditory trail one step out of phase from the real world, pirouetting through, a bit broken but that’s ok. It’s the little imperfections that make things human.
Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer, Jay began experimenting with sound at an early age, borrowing a friend’s four-track tape recorder. Whilst his peers were out buying cars, he was building up a studio of instruments and electronics. An auto-didact, he’s crafted a sound of his own, stripped back, queer tinted, electro-alt-pop.
